What is the difference b/w the ph 6 and ph3

OpenStudy (alienium):

ph ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (alienium):

ahaaa ph as in pehazh right ? the scales of ph are as follows from 1-14 from 1-7 are the ph for the acids while from 7-14 are for bases actually 7 is a special value as it means equality, so a liquid with ph of 7 is either acid or base ph 6 means a more active and agressive acid (higher concetration of H ions) then the ph3 acid

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

pH 3 is higher concentration of H+ ions than pH 6. Because pH=-log[H+] So if h+ conc is 10^-3 then pH is 3 and if 10^-6 then pH 6. 10^-3> 10^-6.
