Use your mathematical knowledge to explain which circle a person should ride for the slowest ride, and the fastest ride. This is a carousel, aren't all rides the same length? Is this a question about which one is going at a faster speed because the length of time for a revolution is the same regardless of position?
I think you're missing some info... lol. Do you have something about revs per minute, maybe?
Think of it this way: If I compare 2 rides that make the same revolutions in the same amount of time, but one is a larger circle than the other, then on which ride have I "travelled" a greater linear distance? And if I cover a greater linear distance in the same amount of time, then I'm going faster - right?
It might be more intuitive to think of this example: If I run around a circular 1 mile track in 8 minutes, and you run around a circular 0.5 mile track in 8 minutes, who ran faster?
Yes that is what I was thinking. There is no numerical info about speed. It just says explain which circle to ride for a faster ride and a slower one. I thought it was asking about time, not speed. How long the ride took
