An object with a charge 7 C and a mass 0.3 kg accelerates from rest to a speed of 13 m/s. Calculate the kinetic energy gained. Answer in units of J Through how large a potential difference did the object fall? Answer in units of V

For the first question I have the answer as 25.35 I just don't know how to get the second question down :/

@Shane_B

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Ok, sorry. Several tabs going. Yes, the first part is correct...let me think about the second one for moment

OpenStudy (shane_b):

OK, this is the same equation as before. \[\Delta PE=q_0\Delta V\]Plug in the values you know to get:\[25.35J=(7C)\Delta V\]Now just solve for delta V (change in potential) to get your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 3.621428571

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Yea...just adjust your answer for significant figures and you're done

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Basically 3.6V

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay thanks sooo much!!

OpenStudy (shane_b):

np :)
