Explain some observation you can make that shows that electromagnetic waves can likely travel through a vacuum?

Electromagnetic waves are made up of electric and magnetic waves. Neither wave seems to need a medium to travel through. A good example is the radiation from the Sun. What we get is electromagnetic, and it has traveled along a long path through space - which is nearly a vacuum.
you can see that sun is shining..
An excellent example would be the aurora borealis....google it.
The presence of x-rays, gamma rays and deterministic waves from deep space and the transmission of man-made extraterrestrial signals from vehicles on Mars are examples of electromagnetic waves traveling through a vacuum.
