Suppose we want 1 ml of a 10ug/ml solution. How much H20 and protein stock must we add to get this? (We have a solution of protein that has a concentration of 0.25 mg/ml)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Using CiVi=CfVf?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you can use that eq..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is this right? Ci= 0.25mg/ml Vi= x Cf = 10 ug/ml Vf = 1 ml

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no..the units must be the same in both sides you have to convert ug to mg or vice versa

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you, once I do that then the equation is set up correctly?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes
