What theorem or postulate can be used to justify that the two triangles are congruent? Write the congruence statement.
|dw:1379106927956:dw|
A.SAS B.ASA C.SAS D.ASA
Now, we have one common side, and two equal angles. So by the definition of rectangle and ASA i can say that those two triangles are congruent.
ASA? so its either B or D now.
its two triangles. i dont think its a rectangle. o:
oh, okay. Do we have any equal sides or angles?
equal sides yes... im not sure about angles
HI and Fg are equal?
yes!
those are sides right? and not angles? I get them mixed up a lot.. :/
oh, okay, now... The triangles are positios are that way. we know that <FHG is congruent to <IGH and we know that those two triangles share a side HG. and FG is equal to HI. By SAS we can deduce that the triangles are congruent.
My problem says this.. A. SAS triangle HGF= triangle IGH. B. C. SAS triangel FGH= triangle IHG. Which one would be correct?
it would be the same, but depends on how you read them. Traditionally, C would be correct.
Ok. thanks. :)
