Don't solve the problem, just tell me how to solve it: if a cube of lead (p = 11.3 x 10^3 kg/m^3) is placed in a pool of mercury (p = 13.6 x 10^3 kg/m^3). the cube of lead is 3.60 x 10^2 cm on a side. Calculate the percentage of the cube that is above the pool of mercury.

|dw:1379158443295:dw| The lead cube is in the equilibrium position. by inertia principle you can conclude that sum of all forces has to be zero. Fg+Fl=0 (these are vector) then Fg=Fl ... Vs*d(mercury)*g = M(lead)*g then you can find sink volume Vs.
