On level ground , a mass is thrown straight up at 25m/s. If we ignore air resistance, then find a) Total time b) time to top c) Maximum height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a= -9.80 vi= 25 m/s Is vf= 0? that what i would assume if its coming back down

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use v=u+at

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes final velocity will be 0

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

by final u mean, velocity at top ? then yes but it hits the ground back wid -25m/s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well there are some shortcuts you can take. The total time of flight is 2x the time it takes to reach the maximum height. Also the velocity at the top is 0 as you have stated.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A) would be double the time spent in the air right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahh this is so easy now that i think about it. thanks everyone
