I have an answer but I'm not sure I did it right. Can anyone check ?
Find the percent error in each estimation. Round to the nearest percent. You estimate that a tree is 45 ft tall. It is actually 58 ft tall.
I simply did 58 - 45 ----- 13%
percent error = actual - measured ------------------ x 100 actial
OK ! 13 is right but we have : 13 _________x 58________100 Got it ? we want % of estimate .:)
@ganeshie8 :Realy right :)
I did my other questions that way but wasn't sure of the process. Hold on Ill use that equation
okiee
OK !:)
Ok I got 28
close , try again
percent error = actual - measured ------------------ x 100 actial percent error = 58- 45 ------------------ x 100 58
ok this is what I did x = 45ft - 58ft ----------(100) 45ft 45 - 58 = -13 --- = .28 (100) = 28% 45
Yo read the q again, actual = 58 measured = 45
Oh I wrote it backwards
yes :|
ok this is what I did x = 58ft - 45ft ----------(100) 58ft 58 - 45 = -13 --- = .22 (100) = 22% 58
Correct ! good job !!!
Thanks ! can u check another for me ?
shoot
a carpenter estimates the wall is 20ft tall The wall is actually 18ft tall. x = 18ft - 20ft ----------(100) 18ft 18 - 20 = -2 --- = .11(100) = 11% 18
Correct ! looks you got it perfectlyu !!!! always keep the ACTUAL in the bottom
Very good !
Ok thanks !! :)
np :)
