\[\frac{ a+bi }{ a-bi } = \frac{ a+bi }{ a-bi }\times \frac{ a+bi }{ a+bi }\]
simply multiply by 1 in another form 5 - 8i/5-8i this will allow the denominator to be a rational number and i^2 = -1
(6-3i)/(5+8i)*(5-8i/5-8i) =(6-3i)(5-8i)/[25-64(-1)] =[30-48i-15i+24i^2]/98 =[30-36i-24]/98 =[6-36i]/98
