Help please. What volume of 0.305 M AgNO3 is required to react exactly with 155.0 mL of 0.274 M Na2SO4 solution?

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

can u write balanced reaction for this ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be AgNO3+Na2SO4->2NaNO3+Ag2SO4. What should I do next?

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

do u think Ag is balanced check once again on left

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yeah it would be 2AgNO3+Na2SO4->2NaNO3+Ag2SO4

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And what do I do next?

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

You need 2 moles of AgNO3 per mole of Na2SO4

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

V1M1=2*V2M2 V*0.305 = 2*155*0.274

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

did u get or noo @cherry2012

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i got 278. Can u just explain to me why I need to moles of AgNO3 per Na2SO4?

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

bocoz can u see it in balanced reaction two behind AgNO3 and 1 behind Na2SO4 it should be balanced to calculate always

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay thank u for ur help:)

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

ur welcome
