Add \[\frac{ 2m }{ 5 }\] to both sides
\[\frac{ 3m }{ 5 } + a +\frac{ 2m }{ 5 }\ = b - \frac{ 2m }{ 5 }\ +\frac{ 2m }{ 5 }\]
\[-\frac{ 2m }{ 5 }\ +\frac{ 2m }{ 5 }\] cancel out
Thus
\[\frac{ 5m }{ 5 } + a = b \]
Divide 5m by 5
\[m + a = b \]

you CANT cancel the m - it's only in the numerator!

If you want 1 then you have to do this
\[\frac{ 5m }{ 5m } =\frac{ 5 * m }{ 5 * m } = 1 * 1 = 1 \]
