i just don't know where to start..
well from anything less than or equal to 1 it will always be 2/3
the first 2 functions either line up (have the same y value) as x -> 1 or they don't. you have to evaluate if they do or don't.
well for the 2nd function, at 1, it doesn't exist...
so there is a dis-continuity
right, but see if you can factor out the bad part. you have a difference of cubes which factors easily. one of the factors is (x-1) the other is x^2+x+1 see if the top has a factor of (x-1). if it does, you can cancel (remember, you're only interested in the limit of that function as it approaches 1 from the right (above)).
not necessarily a discontinuity... you have to check. follow what I said and see what comes out.
