Help please. Lithium and nitrogen react in a combination reaction to produce lithium nitride: 6Li(s)+N2(g)→2Li3N(s) In a particular experiment, 5.00-g samples of each reagent are reacted. The theoretical yield of lithium nitride is __________ g.
Ok. When you do not know what to do when trying to solve stoichiometry questions, try to convert grams into moles first. This is almost always the first step. In this case, as the question says that 5 grams of Li and N2 reacted. So convert these into moles using their respective relative atomic mass. Then, find the limiting reagent. Once you found the limiting reagent, use the mole ratio to find the mole of products produced. Finally, convert the mole of products back into grams.
thank u so much:)
