I have a big lab tomorrow and before I do anything in the lab they told me I had to calculate how to make 0.3M, 0.5M and 0.7 M concentrations of 200ml sucrose solution. I read my lab book and they give me some equations, but I'm still confused on how to calculate it.

I think I have an idea of how to do it, but I'm not sure if I'm right

I'm assuming they gave you the equation \[M _{1}V _{1}=M _{2}V _{2}\] In that case you would plug the molarity of your stock solution into the spot \[M _{1}\] and the desired molarity and volume in \[M _{2}V _{2}\] Then solve for the volume of stock solution needed which is\[V _{1}\] You would then take that volume of stock solution and add enough distilled water to make a 200mL solution. I really hope this helps. If you need something clarified just message me.
