What is the probability of passing a subject?
uh
My prof gave me a question, it says "What is the probability of passing Discrete Structures?" Discrete Structures our subject
Say 1
why?
Confidence.
lmao
I'm not playing here.
It's not like you gave us any information to work with.
That's all what it says in the problem that's why I also can't understand it. I thought you could give me some suggestions.
If they give you no information then you have to be creative.
I doubt it just said "what is the probability of passing this subject" lol...
Okay, it's not helping. Anyways, thank you so much.
What were you expecting exactly?
By the way, Any probability has to greater than or equal to 0 or less than or equal to 1
As @Hero Said
I get it. It's either passed or failed. Therefore; P = 1 / 2 or 50%
1/2 only works if you assume all outcomes are equiprobable. There is little basis for that. In fact, a better estimate would be to assume grades were assigned randomly out of 100 and say all scores >70 are passing, in short 70/100 = 70%.
