The U.S. economy would not be affected if the loans were not repaid. ^This is defiantly not it, basically the chart shows USA loaning money to Germany, then Germany paining the money owed due to WWII to Britain and Britain paying USA money for there war loans, so basically USA was paying itself. The U.S. economy was not strong enough to loan money to Germany. ^The chart says else wise. I am stuck between a and b. a. The U.S. economy was stronger than the economies of European countries. b. The U.S. economy was the strongest economy in the world.
