(a) If 32123°=360n°+θ , where n is an integer and 0°<θ<360°, find the values of n and θ. (b) Using the result of (a), express tan32123° in terms of acute angle. @hartnn @ganeshie8

hartnn (hartnn):

say we have 500 = 360n +x so, since x can be between 0 to 360 we have to first go 1 full round till 360 and check how many degrees remain to get to 500 so, here n=1, and x = 500-360*1 got this ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow, yes

hartnn (hartnn):

so try with 32123 now ?

hartnn (hartnn):

hint, i got n=1 in 500 by dividing 500 by 360 and ignoring the decimal part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

≈89.23055555.... =89

OpenStudy (anonymous):

corr. to 2 sig fig lol

hartnn (hartnn):

correct! 89 :)

hartnn (hartnn):

so theta will be just 32123 - 360*89

OpenStudy (anonymous):

83?

hartnn (hartnn):

yup, correct :) so angle 32123 is equivalent to angle 83

hartnn (hartnn):

like sin 32123 = sin 83, cos32123 = cos 83 and so on...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i see than you very much:) would you kindly help me with other questions?

hartnn (hartnn):

so part b) will be tan32123 = tan 83 and yes, sure...i have like 10 min more
