On the electromagnetic spectrum, infrared light has a lower frequency than visible light, which has a lower frequency than ultraviolet light. This means that ultraviolet light is more energetic than both visible and infrared light. A.)True B.)False
B.) False
Thank you fro answering. I appreciate the help. I'll let you know if I got it right.
I'm pretty sure it is B because on the magnetic spectrum, higher frequency means higher energy. If you have ever seen a diagram of sound waves, then you will notice that higher frequency sound waves are closer together - they are emitted quicker with more energy.
Awesome. More statements to renforce the answer that's needed. I'm so grateful for the help.
Well the answer was true. Thank you for trying to help though.
Just clarify why it was true: Simple equation for the energy of a photon: E=hf. Energy is directly proportional to frequency. Infrared has the highest frequency, therefore the highest energy. True.
Thank you for clarifying that. It's helpful to know an algorithm for an answer. I'm a programmer, so the more algorithms I know, the better, so thank you.
