find the equation of the inverse relation 2x^2+5y^2=4
if g(x) is the inverse of f(x), then f(x) is the inverse of g(x) since you were given the inverse already, to find the "function", just get her inverse :)
what?
do you know .... how to find an inverse? you're asked for THE FUNCTION given her inverse function, well, the inverse of an inverse function is THE FUNCTION
oops I had to modify the question
different wording, same meaning
so, you'd still get THE FUNCTION by getting the inverse of the given one
not sure how to acquire the right answer
to get the inverse of a function, all you do is a quick swap of the letters \(\bf 2x^2+5y^2=4\qquad inverse \implies 2y^2+5x^2=4\) then solve for "y"
well... I guess you can solve for "y" if you want... though as it's, it should be the inverse but I gather what's being asked is the solution for "y"
nope all it asks for is to "Find the equation of the inverse relation" I didnt gather that it would be as simple as swapping letters.
an equation of an inverse relation is just a longer wording of saying "the inverse function", so the wording is just a bit convoluted, is all
Thanks for ALL your help and guidance!!!
