It is geometric when the ratio between terms are same..you can use the formula for geometric sequence to find the next terms It is arithmetic when there is a common difference between terms..you can use the formula for arithmetic sequence to find the next terms If there's no common ratio or common difference, then it's neither arithmetic nor geometric..for this one, i don't know which formula should you use to find the next terms..

You know what arithmetic and geometric sequences are, right?
yeah somewhat
Basically, arithmetic means you can add the same number to each term and you get the next term in the sequence.
For example 1, 2, 3, 4. Or 2, 4, 6, 8. Or -3, 0, 3, 6. And so on.
Geometric means you can multiply, and you get the next term. Like 1, 2, 4, 8, 16.
in short, Arithmetic sequences, you ADD to get the following term Geometric sequences is anything BUT
Not anything. For example something weird like Fibonacci is neither.
i think its a
Me too!
haha thanks sacapuntas
