Help with getting the equation of this graph?

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

So far I've done this f(x) = \[a \sqrt[3]{x - h} + k\] plugged the first one in so: \[-7/2 = \sqrt[3]{x + 6} -3\] then \[-7/2 = a \sqrt[3]{8} -3\] then \[-7/2 = 2a - 3\] added 3 \[13/2 = 2a\] now I'm stuck?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

check ur last step u should get -1/2 = 2a

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Ohhh...okay one sec..

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

so really -1/2 = 2a divide

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

other than that, everything looks good. you're done actually, you figured out a, h, k wat u stuck at ?

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

that by 1/2?

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

I was stuck because I messed up the last step

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

okie :) last step gives u a = -1/4

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Ohh:DD I get it!

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

so the equation is \[f(x) = -1/4\sqrt[3]{x + 6} - 3\] ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

looks perfect !

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

yay!!

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Can we do another one or so?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

sure :)

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Okay I'm going to try to solve it first and see if I can do it and if I can't I'll come back? ^_^

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

okie good luck !!
