1 Which of the following electromagnetic phenomenon wave nature is not enough to explain? A. Photoelectric effect B. interference C. Diffraction D.polarization 2 Heating a gas at constant volume will cause... A . Increase in temperature. B . Increase in temperature and internal energy. C . Increase in internal energy. D .Decrease in internal energy and increase in temperature.

@AllTehMaffs Can you please help me ? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hola

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What you think #1 is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its D ..But don't know how ??? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It should be A.... hmm.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Polarization is absolutely a wave phenomenon... Photoelectric effect is all about the quantization of energy.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oka ..Wb #2 ? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What does heating a gas up do to the individual molecules?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

increase its K.E and internal energy ..I'm sure that internal energy increased but wb temp. ??? temp. is diirectly proportional to volume ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yah. PV =nkT :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The pressure will increase when you hold the volume constant is all.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So its ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B. temp & internal energy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how temp ? :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

V is constant so temperature should be constant ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The pressure will directly increase to satisfy the eq.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

P goes up relative to T to maintain V

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok ...got it ..ty so much :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Very welcome :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my pleasure :) :)

keeping the incident ray fixed in direction, if the plane mirror is rotated through an angle of 15 degree, the reflected ray is rotated through an angle of a)10 degree b)7.5 degree c)15 degree d)30degree this question is not in my syllabus so no idea 'bout it ..Can you solve it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

g2g ...If u wanna solve ds than awesome ..otherwise its ok :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1382342013268:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1382343719648:dw| Initial angle of incidence is b, so initial angle of reflection is also b. Total angular separation is 2b. Holding steady the incident ray, changing the angle of the plane by c makes the angle of incidence b±c and the angle of reflection b±c as well. Therefor the total angular separation is 2(b±c) = 2b ± 2c. That means the reflected ray is rotated through an angle ±2c. answer is D
