What is true of elements in a period on the periodic table? (Points : 3) They have different properties that repeat across the next period. They have similar properties that repeat across the next period. They have similar names. They have different properties that show no pattern.

i know it is not c.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2nd one, if the have similar properties that repeat to the next period, it's the same as saying they are in the same group, which are the up and down rows, and those are of similar properties, ex the noble gases, the halogens....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well the periods aren't the same as the groups.. does this still mean it's the second one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I ment if you take H then go across to the next period, you have Li, go to the next period again you have Na..by going to the next period (across), you are essentially listing the group of elements (up and down)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2nd one, I'd bet $$

OpenStudy (anonymous):

true. i'll try that and submit it and let you know! thanks for the help:)

No problem! Hope I'm right! :-)
