Can someone help me ! please Triangle LMN is located at L (2, 3), M (1, 2), and N (4, 4). The triangle is then transformed using the rule (x+5, y+2) to form the image L'M'N'. What are the new coordinates of L', M,' and N'? Describe what characteristics you would find if the corresponding vertices were connected with line segments.
@lunaone13
Take the original x coordinates and add 5 to it to get the new x coordinates. Take the original y coordinates and add 2 to it to get the new y coordinates.
i just need help on the second part of this questions
Which is " Describe what characteristics you would find if the corresponding vertices were connected with line segments."
@agent0smith can you help me on the second part of this question?
If the corresponding vertices are connected you will find they are all parallel.
can you show me how I would do that please,so I can be able to understand it a bit more
You can take a graph paper and plot those three points LMN and L'M'N' connect L and L' ; M ans M' ; and N and N' and you will be able to see it.
Let me see if I can draw some other example her with just 2 points.
i did graph the three points

Did you graph LMN and L'M'N' ?
Yes I did
Join LL', MM' and NN' and see if they are parallel.
ohh ok give me a second
Did i do it right?
I can't open the file. Haven't come across a file with ggb extension before.
oh ok well ill try do it another way then, just give me a second
Oh, geogebra which I don't have on my computer.
yeah "geogebra"
But I can explain what is happening in the drawing I posted. A is moved to A' by first adding something to its x coordinate (which moves it to C) and then adding something to the y coordinate which moves it to A' Follow?
The exact same thing is done when moving point B to B' The same x value is added to B to move it to D and then the same y coordinate is added to move it to B'
thats what i got
They look parallel to me. But if you want to follow why they are parallel the you can read my explanation so far for my drawing posted above and the next reply.
The slope of AA' = A'C / CA The slope of BB' = B'D / DB = A'C / CA The slopes are the same and therefore AA' and BB' are parallel.
ohh ok I understand it now thank you so much for helping me
you are welcome.
