2log base 4 8 = 3x

\[2\log_{4} 8 = 3x\]

Rewrite the left side as: log (8)^2 with base 4, and the right side remains the same. Because the Law of Logs states that log(a^r) = r log (a). Now write that log equation as an exponential equation: 4^(3x) = 8^2 Now you have an exponential equation, which you will change both bases, to base 2, as 4= 2^2 and 8 = 2^3. So, 2^2(3x) = 2^6 6x = 6 x = 1_
