A 9.753-g gaseous mixture contains ethane (C2H6) and propane (C3H8). Complete combustion to form carbon dioxide and water requires 1.120 mol of oxygen. Calculate the mass percent of ethane in the original mixture. - I'm really stuck with the math part, could you show me how?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

First, you need to write down the complete balanced chemical equation for this, you know that combustion produces: CO\(_2\) + Water. so this shouldn't be too hard. Start with that.

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Write it for both ethane and propane, seperately.
