if a tRNA molecule has an anticodon which reads CAG, what was the codon on the mRNA molecule? AUG GTC UAG GUC

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@shrutipande9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@shrutipande9 please i am going to ask a few questions

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

A pairs with U in mRNA G pairs wid C. AND VICE VERSA.... so can u come wid d ans now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In pea plants, the allele for tall plants is dominant to the allele for short plants. If a homozygous tall plant is crossed with a homozygous short plant, what percent of offspring would you expect to be short? 0 percent 25 percent 50 percent 100 percent

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

sure ill guide u 2wards d ans...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soo...

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

@Ryaan is going 2 help u out wid d 2nd ques....

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

can u tell me d ans of d 1st ques?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

TT x tt Ma'am ...Am I right?

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

correct...@Ryaan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for #1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

...........

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

no...see for eg if i have CGU as my anticodon. then my codons would be GCA. U GETTING ME? so in this manner wat would be ur codons?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OOOh yes i get u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then D would be the answer

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

ahhaa....correct!!!:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay! next

A person with the genetic disorder Klinefelter's syndrome has an extra x-chromosome. Affected individuals have the genotype XXY. What can you infer is most likely the genetic mutation that results in Klinefelter's syndrome? Complete duplication of chromosomes during polyploidy Non-disjunction during meiosis Translocation during genetic replication Crossing over during meiosis

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

its non-disjunction during meiosis.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A fox's diploid number of chromosomes is 36. How would the number of chromosomes in the fox's body cells compare to the number of chromosomes in its gametes? Its body cells and gametes would both have 18 chromosomes. Its body cells and gametes would both have 36 chromosomes. Its body cells would have 18 chromosomes, and its gametes would have 36 chromosomes. Its body cells would have 36 chromosomes, and its gametes would have 18 chromosomes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@shrutipande9 ?

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

hope u r not giving sum kinda test.....u must b knowing its against d CoC

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Ryaan ?

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

normal cell is diploid(2n) and gametes are haploid(n).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea i know.....im not giving sum kind of test just practicing

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

cool den....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If a mother carries a recessive allele for a genetic disorder, such as cystic fibrosis, under what circumstances will her children inherit the disorder? The children's father must also carry the recessive allele. The mother's father must also carry the recessive allele The paternal grandfather must also carry the recessive allele. The children must be female like the mother to inherit the disorder

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for helping!

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

see for the disease to occur both the alleles should be recessive. mother has 1 so the father should also have 1...then the disease would occur.

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

ur welcome..:D
