How to find the dervative of y=x^ln(x)

OpenStudy (gorv):

take log both side ln y= lnx *lnx ln y= (ln x)^2

OpenStudy (gorv):

now differntiate

OpenStudy (gorv):

(1/y)*dy/dx = 2* (ln x )*1/x dy/dx=y*(2/x)* (ln x ) but y=x^ln(x) so dy/dx = x^ln(x) * (2/x)* (ln x )
