If, unknown to the gambler, one of the dice is weighted and has a 1/8 chance of rolling a 6, what is the probability that the gambler rolls two 6's? (b) If the gambler has rolled two sixes, what is the probability that he has rolled the weighted die?

hero (hero):

Hints: The Probability of selecting the weighted die is 1/3 The Probability of rolling a 6 on the first roll with the weighted die is 1/8 The probability of rolling a 6 on the second roll with the weighted die is 1/8

so i multiply the three and get 1/192

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then i divide it by my answer in part a and get (1/192)/(41/1728) to get an answer of 9/41?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Hero is that correct?
