How does the energy of a hydrogen bond compare to the energy of an O-H covalent bond?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

a covalent O-H bond is around 450 kJ/mol while a hydrogen bond between O and H is only around 40 kJ/mol. So a covalent bond is more than 10 times stronger.
