Boyle's law states that when a sample of gas is compressed at a constant temp. the product of the pressure (P) and volume (V) equals a constant (k): PV=k Another way to write this is P=k/V Suppose the Volume is changing. Find dP/dV
it looks hard but remember that d(1/x)/dx = -1*(1/x^2)
and the right hand side of dP/dV =d (k/V)/dV is just a constant times (1/V)
