if we consider 2 enantiomers of 2-pentanol which statements may not be true?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A) (R)-2-Pentanol has the same acidity as (S)-2-pentanol B) The two enantiomers have identical boiling points C) The two enantiomers have identical solubilities in water D) (S)-2-pentanol rotates plane-polarised light in a counterclockwise direction and (R)-2-pentanol rotates plane polarised light in a clockwise direction E) (S)-2-pentanol reacts at the same rate in nucleophliic substitution reactions as (R)-2-pentanol

@hartnn are you good at chem?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

D. it's not necessarily true that R enantiomers rotate light clockwise, and S viceversa. The rest are true only when they're in non-chiral solvents (because the hydroxyls are enantiotopic).
