Now, let's think about this. The solution to a system of equations is where the two lines intersect. Parallel lines never intersect. So what's that mean? :D

The two equations in the system. A system of linear equations is two equations, i.e., two lines, and you are trying to find the solution, i.e., the x and y value where those two lines intersect.
