Graphing help?
Which of the following statements best describes the person's velocity? It is decreasing in the interval 2 < x < 4. It is decreasing in the interval 3 < x < 4. It is increasing in the interval 2 < x < 4. It is increasing in the interval 3 < x < 4.
I think the answer is A.
(BTW, this is my last question :))

@greenlegodude57
what is the graph doing between 2 and 4 ? It does down and then back up
I think when they say decreasing between 2 and 4, they mean it only decreases, none of this down and back up
Oh sorry
This is the beginning: The graph below shows the velocity of a person (y), in km/h, at a certain time (x), in hours.
Thank you so much you've been a huge help :)
can you pick the correct answer ?
I picked " It is decreasing in the interval 2 < x < 4." Is that the correct answer? Since the change is between points 2 and 4 and it decreases.
But it said the answer was incorrect.
the graph is of the y points. at x=2 y is 4 and at x=3 y is 3 y went down. then y goes back up. so y is not decreasing between x=2 and x = 4 (it goes down then back up)
Oh
between x=2 and 4 y is not decreasing (only) or increasing (only) so I would ignore those choices. at x=3, y is 3, and at x=4 y is 4. y increased
** y goes down to 2
Oh
so I meant at x=3, y is 2, and at x=4 y is 4. y increased
Ohh I get it. Thanks for clearing that up :)
