Tina Avallone and her husband are buying a $219,000 home. Their annual housing expenses are: mortgage payments, $15,400; real estate taxes, $3,600; annual homeowner’s insurance premium, $1,895; maintenance on the home, $3,200; and utilities, $3,980. The lost interest on the down payment is $1,001 and the tax savings is $1,976. What is their average monthly expense?
Their annual housing expenses are: mortgage payments, $15,400; real estate taxes, $3,600; annual homeowner’s insurance premium, $1,895; maintenance on the home, $3,200; and utilities, $3,980 for these i think we just add them all up... not sure what to do with the lost interest, but i think the tax savings we can subtract from the numbers above At the end we'll divide by 12 for monthly amount
Okay so I got $2,339.58 But those aren't the choices... :/
Maybe we just subtract the lost interest from the above numbers too...idk what to do with it What are the choices?
The choices are 1) $1,985.66 B) $2,109.67 C) $3,785.40 D) $2,258.33
if you add up all these "$15,400; real estate taxes, $3,600; annual homeowner’s insurance premium, $1,895; maintenance on the home, $3,200; and utilities, $3,980, lost interest on the down payment is $1,001 " then subtract "the tax savings is $1,976" then divide by 12, you get one of the answers at least
Yay! You're amazing!
haha thanks! i just tried adding them up and subtracting until something worked! :D
