Simplify the complex rational expression.

OpenStudy (yacoub1993):

\[\frac{ \frac{ 1 }{ x+6 } }{ \frac{ 5 }{ x ^{2}-36} }\]

Okay. For a fraction of this sort, imagine the bottom part (5/x^2-26) flipped over, and bring it up to multiply the top part.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Doing that we get (1/x+6)*(x^2-36/5). Now factor x^2-36 and tell me what you get.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Whenever you have a two-pronged fraction like that, take the bottom part and flip it. Then multiply it side-by-side just like easyaspi did.
