I tried that but then it changes the value to r3's y value and I can't zero it out.? I just don't understand what Im doing wrong?
Why are you afraid of changing R3's y value?
Cause if I multiply -10 times r1 I zero out the 10 but then y becomes -41 and I can't figure out the constant to multiply r2 by to add to r3 to knock out the -41?
You'll just have to multiply the third row by a number and then multiply the second row by a number so that when you combine them the 41 cancels to zero. Not that difficult

Exactly. Find the least common multiple of -41 and -11
And you can probably figure out what it is since both 11 and 41 are prime

The gcf will always be less than or equal to either of two numbers of interest. The lcm will always be greater than or equal to either of the two numbers of interest

For example The gcf of 2 and 8 is 2 The lcm of 2 and 8 is 8
Another example The gcf of 11 and 13 is 1 The lcm of 11 and 13 is 143
