what type of math would a slope be under?
Calculus
thanks
Algebra, usually.
thanks
Unless it is dealing with complex shapes like |dw:1384609859599:dw|, then it would be Calculus.
Anytime, @Kyria!
now i get it thanks @SolomanZelman
Did work, I spelled my name with o, that's how it is in my passport.
@SolomonZelman, like this.
Whatever....
oh sorry
that's tonally fine, no problem.
totally...
ok
@SolomonZelman its alway calcules no matter wat thae shape is ,cuz to find slupe u need to check limit or differentiate the function its pure math .
thanks
@ikram002p, is this from calculus, \[\frac{y_1-y_2}{x_1-x_2}\]
The first derivative of a point on a curve gives its slope. That is about differential calculus
oh
IT is both, Calculus and Algebra 1. Algebra 1, is on a lower level of math, that's all.
@SolomonZelman yes its calculus , coz the difinition of difrentiate is the slope of a point on some point lie on the curve , if u took a linear curve as a spicial case u would note that all point have the same slope.
@ikram002p, I am not saying it is not calculus, it is not only in calculus, it is in both Alg 1, and Calculus. In calculus, you can get a better understanding of a slope, but it is also part of algebra topics.
@ kia u r still confuse??
ok... then u need to know that u can apply slope in Alg 1 that does not mean its belong to Alg.. otherwise u can apply slope in phisics or fin but it doesnt belong to any of them .. any way the study of the slope as i said to u is pure math science (calculus).
fantastic @SolomonZelman
