PLEASE HELP!! A sample of gas occupies 9.0 mL at a pressure of 500 mmHg. A new volume of the same sample is at 750 mmHg. Use two significant figures in answer on volume. Is the new pressure smaller or larger than the original? Therefore, is the new volume larger or smaller than 9.0 mL? What is this new volume?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

which one is greater 750 mmHg, or 500 mmHg? use: \(P_1V_1=P_2V_2\) to find the new volume

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How though? as in, how do you set it up?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

P is pressure and V is volume, just plug the numbers into the formula and solve algebraically. like 2*1=3x -> x=2*1/3
