what is the tendency of all persons towards sin?
In Judaism you have circumcision which represents something cut of man, in Christianity you have baptism, born of the water, then born of the spirit. In both cases it represents the biological person transforming into another way of being. I sometime say it's like coming out of a cocoon or shell and experiencing the world differently which might be just an extension as we mature. Some have problems coming out of their shell and their are those snakes that just shed their skin. It's that biological period in which a person goes through that may represent sin, but it's my experience that some really never escape it. The old adage "Wisdom comes with age" may best represent this but instead of age I would use experience.
Sin is seen as disobedience to an established law (shari'a). in Islam Everyone is born sinless and without a natural, sinful nature. Sin is breaking Allah's law . The harm is only against oneself for Allah is too majestic to be affected. If Allah had wanted, he could have kept man from sinning. Sin does not grieve Allah, who is too great to be affected. Allah created man's evil deeds, and man must do them. Good deeds are put in a balance against evil deeds on Judgement Day and may help to obtain forgiveness. Allah forgives whom he wills and punishes whom he wills . so if u repent back to him he will forgive u.
Repentance may not be that easy, one may need help or salvation. I believe in my Lords and yes forgiveness is there, not human forgiveness but divine forgiveness which bring correction to ones life. If salvation was up to man themselves, in my experience, all is lost.
My experience with man is as a child one may lie to hide something or to get out of a consequence. There are many things children do in there learning in this world and if given correct guidance may overcome of some of those tendency's but some get caught up and definitely need help or salvation.
My belief (I am Christian) is that everyone is born into sin because of Adam and Eve sinning in the Garden of Eden. So we are born with their sin but when we are baptized our sin is forgotten, however that does not keep us from sinning. I believe that we sin everyday multiple times a day. So we pray to Yahweh (since in the Hebrew scriptures they didn't use/have vowels, it was written YHWH. Most scholars believe that is, in Hebrew now, pronounced Yahweh, or Jehovah in English), through Jesus Christ, for forgiveness. We will continue to sin, though, until after Armageddon when we will grow to perfection.
Our tendency toward sin is, since we are all imperfect, we have a tendency to sin. "But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members" (Romans 7:23, King James Version) "But I see another law in my organism waging war with the law of my mind and taking me prisoner to the low of sin that is in my organism" (Romans 7:23, New World Translation) Just one scripture where the apostle Paul was talking about the fight against sin.
amen
@Karebear_Karl Mankind is responsible for his own sins, and is not punished by any past ancestry or sin of Adam and Eve! Mankind is not guilty of Adam's sin, he is only responsible for his own individual sins. 2 Kings 14:6 - "But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the Lord commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin." Babies are not born into sin and are not guilty of sins of their fathers or Adam. Deuteronomy 25:16 - "The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin." Sin is never forced. It is always avoidable. Temptation will never be forced or more than one can bear. God will ALWAYS provide an alternative. 1 Corinthians 10:13 - "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." *All scriptures are found in the 1611 version of the King James Version of the Holy Bible.
