Help me please! I dont understand this question.. Balancing chemical equations allows us to get the ratio of each reagent and product in any given reaction. How might this be important to someone who is preparing lab materials to do a reaction and get 50 grams of a product that they need?
well im no expert, but one of the things my teachers always bring up is efficiency. If you need 50 g of a product, you have to know exactly how much reactant to put in. So basically x + y = 50 grams or product. Again, im no expert but it seems like a logical reason

I think it's making sure you understand the importance of stoichiometry when trying to get a certain a mount of product. If you balance the equation you can use the moles of the product to estimate how many grams of each reactant you'll need to get your desired product.
