A particular atom becomes more energetically stable when it loses a single electron. It is most likely an atom of which of the following elements? Magnesium (Mg) Cesium (Cs) Flourine (F) Boron (B) I know MG is in Column 2, Cs is in Column 1, F is in column 17, and Boron is in column 13. I don't think it's F or B, but I'm not sure.

So it would be Cs? Cause that's in group one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think so, yah.

Okay, thanks!
