OpenStudy (cwrw238):
the numerator will be
2x(x+3) - (x+5)(x-2)
simplify this
OpenStudy (cwrw238):
- and place it over (x-2)(x+3)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
\[\frac{ 2x }{ (x-2) } x (x+3) - \frac{ (x+5) }{(x+3) } (x + 2) \]
so i think that i would have 2x - x+5 / x+3 (x +2)

what do you think @cwrw238 ?

wait thats wrong i would have:
2x^2 + 6x - (x^2 - 2x +5x - 10) on the top and that should equal:
2x^2 + 6x - x^2 + 3x - 10
x^2 + 6x + 3x - 10
but after that i still dont have an answer
OpenStudy (cwrw238):
your second line is incorrect
you have to distribute -1 over the parentheses
so it should be
2x^2 + 6x - x^2 -3x + 10
