what happens to the values of the successive ionization energies of an element?

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

The values of successive ionization energies always increases of an element :) bcoz as the no of electron are removed, one by one the effective nuclear charge ( attraction between outer electron and nucleus ) increases, hence u need a large energy to remove next electron :)
