Can someone help me calculate the standard cell potentials with the given: Cu2+(aq) + 2e- → Cu(s) Eᵒ = 0.34 V Ag+(aq) + e- → Ag(s) Eᵒ + 0.80 V

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here the given potentials are reduction potentials. lesser the value of it more it has tendency to be anode. also standard potential is \[E ^{0}_{cell}=E ^{0}_{cathode}-E ^{0}_{anode}\] here anode is Cu cell and cathode is Ag cell Ans is 0.46V

Thank you!! :)
