I need help making electron dot structures and structural formulas for sulfur hexachloride, methylcyclohexane, and phenol. Any help is appreciated. What they are or how to make them.

OpenStudy (abb0t):

sulfer \(\sf \color{red}{hexa}\) = 6

OpenStudy (abb0t):

The other ones, is hard to describe, but it is a 6-membered ring, since it says \(6\). Hint. hint. Phenol is the same thing as benzenol or hydroxybenzene.

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

1. Sulfur hexachloride has a so-called "expanded octet". Elements with atomic number larger than 10 can have an expanded octet. The sulfur atom here has 12 electrons around him. 2. Methylcyclohexane is just a cyclohexane with an attached methyl, there's no exception in this molecule :) 3. as @abb0t said, phenol is benzenol, that is an \(OH^-\) attached to benzene (attention: the \(OH^-\) here is not an ion)
