Please help me: how to differentiate x(2logx) answer must be 1+lnx/ln2 I don't know how to get to that answer

OpenStudy (amistre64):

product rule ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

[ab]' = a'b + ab' let a = x let b = 2logx

OpenStudy (amistre64):

also might want to recall the change of base for logs, im assuming that it is stated in base 10? logx = lnx/ln10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but it says 2logx so ln2x/ln10 ?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

2 logx = 2 lnx/ln10; which is really jsut a constant times lnx k lnx derive to k/x

OpenStudy (amistre64):

x k lnx k lnx + x k/x k(lnx + 1)
