OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

How to find the pH of hydrochloric acid? (steps plzzzz)

OpenStudy (abb0t):

pH = -log[H\(^+\)]

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

not -log[H3O+] ?

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

anyway how to do this? this is not a homework or anything

OpenStudy (abb0t):

You haven't really provided much information about acid concentration. But that is the formula you would use, assuming you knew the concentration of the desired acid.

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

What's the concentrated used most often? this is just a question i ask to myself, not homework or anything

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

@abb0t ok 1:1 in terms of mole?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

You're usually given concentration. Or you can look up the value online.

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Units = \(\sf \color{}{\frac{mol}{L}}\)

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

38% is the concentration I am concerned :)
