Bio queries..
FUSION OF LYMPHOTIC AND TUMOUR CELLS ARE CALLED ?
umm...does it have option? dis ques is a lil confusing...can u be more specific....
this question is from my biotechnology and application chapter( NCERT) I don't even know what does it mean only one thing that day after tommorow is my test :)
really? umm...can u tell me somthing from the chapter so that i can get a lil hint abot what dis ques is?
Let me find it.. Till then can you help me explain this. What is polymerase chain reaction and how it can be utilized for gene amplification?
sure...first of all u know how does DNA replicate and forms multiple copies of self?
NO, One thing lymphotic and tumour cells are associated with which kingdom. ( Foolish question but sorry i don't know this) :)
they r not associated wid any kingdom...tumour cells are abnormal cells...umm..in simple words cancer cells...
ill show u a very simple diag of dna replication ok?
OK...

What is happening in the diagram. I Mean the two lines broke and again joined, why so ?
not joined...see d 2 lines r 2 strands of DNA. they separate... then a new strand starts forming oppsoite both the lines....so now u get 4 strands and 2 DNA molecules.. earlier u had only 1 molecule right? now u have 2...

Hmmmmm... i GOT IT ... NOW WHAT FOR THE POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION ? WHAT WILL HAPPEN THERE ?
so in polymerase chain reaction...u add the DNA molecule...then add d primer..and a few enzymes which actually do the work. then the process that i showed in the picture occurs thousands of times giving u large no of copies of the DNA molecle u had added earlier
geting me so far?
YUP. This occurs in the DNA fingerprinting process also, right ? And i have found in a book that hybridoma is the fusion of the lymphatic and tumour cells. Can it be so,
also DNA contains all the genes which store the information for all kinds of stuff in ur body...so the DNA molecule that u add is nothing but the gene that u want to have in a huge no of copies....so amplification...
dna fingerprinting is somewhat different...if u want to find analogy then try it witha xerox machine...u get exact foto copy of the gene
and u r right about hybridoma:D
at least i did something correct. Ok i got it means in the polymerase chan reaction the dna strands are being produced multiple times, Right ?
exactly:D
see i told u..biology is not dat bad..:D i m sure u will start liking it...or atleast stop hating it..:P
incomplete dominance ? @shrutipande9
incomplete dominance please ?
sure....lets consider this example...RR gives red flowers and rr gives white.. so normally if u have Rr you shold get red coloured flowers right? but in incomplete dominance...phenotypes of both the homozygotes are mixed and an intermediate phenotype is seen in a heterozygote. so Rr gives pink colour...
and in codominance...
visualizes a cow with brown and white patches....in a heteozygote...u get brown colour at some plaaces and white at some other....
ok, so, that is incomplete dominance. Got it..
now in co dominance...
I have read that it occurs in blood group but couldn't understand what it means.
